This article, as readers know, addresses the Good, Bad, and Ugly moments from The Amazing Race. Unfortunately, it seems we are once again weighted towards ugliness, especially in the form of one particular team (though they were not alone). The good news may be that it seems some of the ugliness may have dissipated by the end of the race leg. Let’s hope, anyway. Because of that, let’s go in reverse order and start with the Ugly, ending with the Good.
The Ugly
Terence was right back where we left him, in the Ugly category. Starting the episode – really before the new leg of the race even began – Terence was in his uber-controlling mode. Apparently, Sarah is not allowed to talk to anybody but him. We saw some of this in the first episode, but at the Pit Stop, he made Sarah cry and declared that there was no way to resolve the situation. So I have to wonder what he plans to do with her if they keep dating and even get married. Will he lock her up so nobody can ever speak to her except him?
I actually worked with a woman who was married to a guy so controlling that he wouldn’t let her take showers, go out alone, etc. She had to come to work and use the shower facilities there. I can totally see Terence being like that.
