Hi folks! I hope you are kind to me, as writing is not my strong suit, and frankly, not my favorite way to spend an evening. Plus, I am following in the footsteps of two Tribal Voice gods - JasonofOZ and sdkgeo, so I hope you bear with me.
In every season of Survivor, there is always one earth shattering game move that completely changes the course of the game. In Vanuatu, that move came in last week's episode when Twila formed a four person alliance to vote off Leanne. Talk about gutsy! The look on Ami and Leanne's faces when the fourth and fatal vote was revealed was priceless. For me, it was the
first laugh out loud, shouting at the TV moment this season. Game on!
That brings us to this week, and I would have paid big money to see the jury house that first night Leann spent there. I am sure Chad and Sarge were overjoyed to see her butt booted, and not Chris. A few tears were shed, to be sure. Haha.
I am not going to give you a play by play recap of the entire episode, there are much better places to go for blow by blow, tear by tear, information. What I want to do is share a few observations I had as I watched the episode unfold on the tube.
The car - Kind of a lame vehicle. With all the money CBS gets from this program, they could have found something a little more, lets say, classy. After winning it, Eliza didn't look at all thrilled about it. Not exactly a hunk magnet. And did anyone else imagine Jeff P and Colby driving all over the island together in the car? He did look a little too happy when
he drove up.
The reward challenge - Could they have tried any slower to complete the course? Practically no one even tried to hurry. Once Ami and Eliza got the early lead, everyone else seemed to give up. I know they have been playing for 30 days now, and are tired and hungry, but show some effort people. Johnny Fairplay puts more effort into his hair everyday than these people expend in these challenges.
The reward - Anyone else wonder what country those french fries were imported from? I am sure that's a normal Vanuatuan staple. Of course, I was hoping Chris would give a quick flash to Ami, and ask her if she knew what this is? Haha. I did find it funny that the girls took all the hot water in the shower.
Shuffleboard - Apparently these people have never played this game before. Of course, Playstation and Nintendo don't have a video game version, so that might explain it. Scout finally gets a non physical challenge and totally and once again blows it.
Julie - For someone who looked totally shell shocked after Leann got voted out, she got awfully quiet. Did she say more than 3 words the whole episode? Or is this clever editing by the little devil, MB?
Scout - If this woman gets to the final two, then these remaining players are dumber than half the people you see on COPS every week. Not only doesn't she deserve any money, all she does now is complain and moan. And what's with the pillow? PS - Has she even realized that the objects of the challenges is to finish first? But, alas, if she only had her legs from six ( you mean SIXTY) years ago, everything would be different.
Tribal Council - Drama Queen once again rears her head, but alas, Eliza is My Fair Lady for the evening, and out four person alliance holds true and Ami, a.k.a. Queen Midol, is dismissed. UH HUH! OH YEAH!! I can't repeat some of the things I yelled in glee at the TV as she walked away from TC. The only thing that would have been better is if she had been booted off via the purple rock. Henry Higgins, a.k.a. Chris, has once again defied the estrogen gods and survived another day.
The game should be even better now, as the game winds down to its conclusion. Let's see who steps up next and hits a $1 million dollar home run, hopefully steroid free. :)
